End of season results for the 10-mile TT series are based on the best six results.
End of season results for the Club TT series is based on the best three out of five results.
Base time is 22 minutes for the 10 mile course and your handicap is calculated from this figure
To establish your handicap, we take your best time from prior races on the 10-mile course and deduct a base time of 22 minutes from your best time to calculate your handicap. For example, a time of 32 minutes would give a handicap of 10 minutes.
A rider with a 10 minute handicap who then sets a time of 31m 30s in their next race would have 10 minutes deducted and score a handicap time of 21m 30s (and for the following race their handicap would be reduced to 9m 30s (31m 30s – 22m 00s)
For the Club TT series handicaps are initially set on the 10 mile course and then adjusted proportionally for the length of the 5 courses used.
Handicap points are awarded in the same way as normal, but on handicap time not actual time.
